i've got a sizeable (and re-pushed out) dents in the rear quarters of my 180B and they didn't even look twice.

best thing i've found is exactly as mentioned. leave something wrong (like take your rear indicator bulbs out or something) and give them something to put on the report. then just slip them back in and head back the same day.

works a treat every time

As far as I know panel damage will pass but where the metal shows might not, cosmetics are not really considered when going for a safety inspection, as long as it's not structural. As far as the key goes, don't say anything and it should pass. If you sont say anything they shouldn't try any other keys in the ignition other than the right one.

It has been my experience that if you leave something silly and easy, say a blown bulb in an indicator for them to find, they are satisfied that they have found something and don't necessarily look as hard as if they can't find anything wrong.

That comment may stir up a whole lot of contraversy, but its just my experience, not always fact at every shop.

my car's got front fender dented like squashed in (near headlight), no holes or anything. Roof's got hail damage dents rear left door is scratched (bare metal can bee seen as paint came off) and dented
Will this pass QLD RWC?
How about ignition barrel? I got one but you can use any key as the previous owner change the ignition barrel with something weird its just got that like a "T" hole on it, so a flat screw can just start the car or any key. Or do I have to change this with proper one?

cheers
