To us US 1200 folks, this is very amusing...

Seems like every 1200 over here has a rotary in it.

Very nice avatar by the way...

I belive a Toyota RN10 Hilux will fit 1150mm with 30 spline axles, I've had mine for years driving 380hp through it with no prob's....with ratio's from 3.9 and up.

there souldn't be to much trouble putting a 13b in to a 1200.

you will need to get gearbox, diff, exhaust.

just look at cars like mr hell and the green mazfix 1200 sedan. That car was down here last week.it's still a 13b but,it has been tubbed it run an 8.80.

if your going to do it i say go all out.

you would need a new exhaust anyway, cause the a12's exhaust is on the right(if looking towards the back of the car from the front) where as a rotory's have there exhaust on the right. so you might also need a custom dump pipe to get it around the steering box, so just go for a full system straight up. and id be wanting a bigger fuel tank. it wont take a rotor long to drink 30 litres of fuel

i was talking to my mums friend last night and he told me that he has a bit of exp[ierience in engine conversions and said i should just do it my self. i was looking at a few post and saw that someone actually said it is the next easiest conversion to the A12 is this true. What steps are involved in the conversion. eg. modify the existing Xmember or get an Rx 2,3,4,7member and get it too suit any info would be great would a h190 diff hold the 13bt??? can it be adapted???

Cheers,
frank

Tuning on latest Computer Controlled Dyno Dynamics Dyno

Love that one, Even an old dyno will will produce the same results. All it does is place varying loads on the vehicle to simulate various driving conditions. The gas analysier is what the tuner relies on to fine tune the engine. Mazfix are a fairly big name with proven results, Tuning comes down to the tuner knowing their stuff.

Hooked to existing exhaust

Might as well put a good size exhaust while you are there. Existing exhaust ( Thinking 1200 exhaust) will not allow the best from the engine, so if you dyno it now, you will need to pay again and dyno it later when you do put a good exhaust. Whats the sense in paying twice for something if you did it right the first time you wouldnt need. Sometimes waiting a bit longer till you have the money to do it right will be cheaper in the end.
