I cut the datto engine mounts off flush with the top of the original crossmember and made my own engine mounts out of 2 inch heavy angle iron and some flat plate.
The clutch is (you won't believe this) original datto 1200. I used the datsun clutch fork and cut the opposite side of the bellhousing on the t50. Then is used the toyota thrust race, ground down the datto clutch fork to clear , then welded a couple of allen keys(strong steel) to reinforce the clutch fork. The result was the sweetest clutch action I have ever felt. Lucky but amazing.So I have a mechanical clutch.

Hi normo forgot to ask about the datsun engine crossmember is it still origional or did you have to modify it and is the clutch hydralic or still cable

It's good to see someone else brave enough to do this conversion! My sedan goes like hell too! Had it at the drags the other night-15.95@86mph sound good? 7100 RPM through the traps! Yours should be at least that fast too. Can't wait to see some more pics!

Sprinter diff AE86 is probably less than 2 inches wider. Depending on tyre size you don't have to flare the guards.
I put 13" wheels and used 4wd rubber flares ($75) to keep the police off my back.
Had to curt off the panghard rod and sway bar mounts to fit my exhaust and shockies in, but the datto is so light in the rear they are not essential'cheers

Did you have to cut down the sprinter diff (width) or was it a good swap?

I've done the same engine swap in my 1000 - and yes they do fly. howver I managed to keep the injection all intact. But like you had to change the brake MC.

Don't have to cut the tunnel, I put in a t50 5 speed, just cut off the two mounts in the tunnel, cleanly and the box fits perrrfectly.
For a crossmember I made up a bracket, pics soon, but the toyota crossmember should fit ok, some mods.
Speedo screws straight on
but with the toyota sprinter diff my speedo reads 70mph and I am doing about 100kph.
The thing is awesome..

what did you do for a speedo driver,

and did you have to cut the tunnell as i'm doing the same conversion but with the 4AGZE and I want to try and run the blower and the aircon

Finally the B******* thing is finished
couldn't fit the fuel injection in and have brake booster so fitted twin side-drafts
WOW the thing goes like a rocket
I put in Toyota sprinter running gear (diff, 5 speed 1600 twin cam, radiator)
took 4 months on the weekends, the wife even still loves me.
Got the car passed for rego yesterday.
I hid the bonnet pull and hoped the rego guy wouldn;t notice when he test drove it.
He noticed.
He replied.
Thats the first time I ever saw a Datsun motor that startys with a "T" (Toyota)
But it was worth it in the end.
