Congrats on your purchase. Swap meets are also a good source for workshop manuals.

Congratulations. You have bought yourself a very popular & practical, yet stylish car.
If you keep your eye open on the ebay auctions, you should be able to pick up a workshop/ repair manual quite cheaply. This will allow you to bring your coupe right up to scratch, maintainance wise, & if you visit here often, you will pick up on many of the tricks to make it run extra well.

The 1200 has no real vices & it's ability to perform well is entirely dependant on how well you look after it.

Welcome to the club.

Hey guys, I just bought a 1200 coupe a few days ago, been wanting one for about 4 years now.
It is white, and reasonably tidy, hell it got a rwc, although the engine seems pretty slugish and it doesnt really want to go over 60mph. Tempreture is always good, but it chews fuel, so I am guessing it needs a major tune up.
At some point in time I wish to get a bit more power out of the current engine, and put in a manual box. Otherwise, is there anything I should keep my eye on, or check out asap?

Cheers
