Have a bit of a search in the web, but I "think" the bearing used is from a nissan Navara.

edit: A picture of your problem! A bearing flapping in the breeze.

There is a good chance that this is whats wrong with your other gearbox. If so, then the front of the cluster gear is unsupported.

Take your sample [small] bearing & a nice clean transmission case to a bearing supplier & tell him what you need & what it's for.

Should be no problem.

Come to think of it, have a look at the bearing on the front of the cluster of the CA gearbox. It might be just the sample you need, particularly if the I.D. is the same on both bearings.

I just had my 5spd rebuilt, and it still has plenty of gear noise that goes away when you put the clutch in but then wines in 5th, so go figure

I have bought another stumpy skyline box and CA20 bellhousing with the intention of putting another gearbox together for the car. When I went to put the CA20 bellhousing on the gearbox I noticed that one of the main end bearings is smaller than the hole in the bellhousing.

Do I have the wrong bellhousing?
Can I get another bearing pressed onto the shaft?
Can anyone give me a part number for this bearing?

Thanks

If you surface the flywheel they usually wont slip if the clamp pressure is sufficient.

If you're using a new clutch it's going to slip for a couple hundred miles!!! It takes about 500 miles to break in a new clutch sometimes!!! The 1200 NEVER slipped brand new or well used...but my 180SX slipped bad with a new clutch if you gave it gas. After about 2-3 weeks of easy driving it started gripping REALLY good and doesn't slip anymore!

I haven't had a change to use 4th gear yet as the car isn't registered and have only managed a few drives up and down the street. I didn't change any cluster bearing when I changed the bellhousing. That's what I'm worried about. Would the bellhousing still go on if I had the wrong bearing? I might just pull it out and take it to someone and see what they think... THis is killing me. I get it all together and the gbox is stuffed and the clutch is slipping. When you think no more could go wrong something does!

Is it noisey in 4th??? did you have to change the clustershaft bearing when changing belhousing over???
Its probably just a mainshaft or clustershaft bearing not very $$$ to replace just a pain to stip down and press off.
A full rebuild- bearing kit is around the $400 mark.
I had a spare rebuilt box ive since sold it as I run the stocko S13 box
