it's a e15et n12. what controls the timing on this motor the dizzy or the ecu?
i want to start modifying but not with the pinging.

does anyone know what make of ecu nissan used in these cars?

A couple of options:

1: Lock the distributor or reduce the mechanical advance

2: Lower compression, If you have a spare head, "open" the combustion chamber up.

These are "cheap" ways of doing it.

Those pressures sound like she is in top nick.

Definately check the timing. Also check your fuel delivery, is it injected or Carby.....I would think that the combination yuo have (Comp and boost) should be more than fine if tuned correctly.

hey guys what is the norm on turbo cars, and what could you safely put it up to?

i'm currently running 850kpa(125psi) and 7psi boost, but this bitch won't stop pinging

next thing i'm going to get the dizzy checked out, maybe advancing too much??
