I am hoping that 8 will soon become 7.

Dodgeman, the coupe looks like it would be registered unless it has recently expired.

Tnp yes it was me, my apologies.

Check the prices of new tie rod ends as they are only a little more than the starting price of the one on e-bay!

I'm up to 10 )although 3 will become 1.5 soon!)

Dodgeman good work , you sly old dog.

Same could be said of yourself, Sidedraught. Were it not you who outbid me in the last 15 seconds on a set of upper ball joints for a 1000 last week?

On the basis of the info contained in the ebay posting, would you say that it was registered?

i'm a sucker for a project too! just can't let a rare car pass. i used to have three 1600's, a 1600 wagon and the 1200 wagon in various stages of completion. then i told myself to concentrate a bit and cut it down to a 1600 and a 1200. but i can't help modifying them, always coming up with more stupid ideas! nice 1200 coupe btw (although its my least favourite of the 1200 guise). its a good feeling picking up an original good condition example.

Me too!!!!!!!!
One 1200, and three B310s.

The way I see it, although you can pic up a slightly unloved sunny for bugger all nowdays, oneday, sooner than we all think, they too will get hard to find, just like 1200s have. Then life will be very tough, when it's a struggle to get bits at all, which we now all take for granted, we'll all wish we'd saved a few more when we had the chance!

Keep them alive.

Chris, I hope you boy has got his head screwed on right. It would be a shame for this 1200 to "Fall over" as young 'un's cars have the habit of doing from time to time. (A few of mine did)

I have a problem. 3 or 4 projects on the go; 2 120Y's and 2 utes. I sometimes wonder what I will do with them? I won't be able to afford to registar all of them. I might have to have some kids? By the time I've finished them at the rate I'm going they would be olde enough to drive them. . .

You can never have to many backup cars I guess. . .

I bought 5 A15's the other day that were imported 12 years ago and were locked in a shed. Can't let them go now. . . Looks like I need more cars to put them in. 2 projects are A series the other is Z18 and CA18.

What can I say, like Chris, I to have the "Datsun Fever".

Freak
I owned a '73 Datsun 1200 ute & it was a great car [truck], but i also owned a 1000 sedan with 1200 engine & it was even more fun, so i chose to concentrate on them. They're all good mate.

Chris
I deny everything. These assertions are just spurious fabrications by closet admirers of the B10 series designed to draw a red herring asross the trail of their suppressed feelings.
Actually, while i'm a Datsun 1000 "true believer", i can still appreciater that the 1200 is also a good car, along with the 120Y. After all, it's the 1200 ['70 to '73] that supplies those wonderfull 1200 engines that fit 1000's so well. VIVA 1200's [and their engines.]

Who_your_datty_1200
Shhhhhhhhhh

My son is a good kid who is attending University. His first car, a Corolla, fell over one day, [they do that sometimes] & his second car, an RB31 Skyline with over 400,000 K on it is really a bit expensive to keep on his income.
This coupe will provide him with economical motoring in a stylish vehicle that is already becoming an appreciating asset.

I gotta be good to him as he will be the one that choses the nursing home that i end up in.

So now we have a 1000 coupe, a 1200 coupe & a 120Y sedan in the family. My daughter gets her Learners licence soon too. Maybe a B310 Sunny for her just to make up the set.
