remembering what i read in a street machine magazine from many years ago...

paint always comes off sooner or later, no matter how well you paint them. The next time the engine gets hot, you may as well pull them off and give them another coat of paint.

accoriding to them, get them ceramic coated. The only colour choice is black (or was then) but the finish lasts....

this magazine was from the 80's, so maybe they've come up with a better paint since then??

i am replacing the head gasket on the SSS. while apart i will be cleaning it up. what colour should i paint the headers. they are the factory cast items. Silver , white or black?
