i obivously dont want a fogger system then, i thought the only things involved with the NOS setup were nos lines bottle and plumbing in the injectors and a activiating switch/relay?
i have to tune the motor now? im not goin all out max to spend is $1k on the NOS..

My cousin used to go out to Magnesium Dr. The hotspot for street racing. He used to go back in the late 80s when street racing was pretty big. He said he once saw a 10sec EH holden come on a trailer just to do 2 passes and head home. Now thats taking your street racing seriously when you have to trailor it there. He also said there where plenty of people running NOS for the extra kick. True life fast and the furious except they were all V8s.

B310gx - Very interesting info mate. Thankyou.
I remember reading an article about Victor Bray. Apparently he was the gun street racer in his area and someone wanted to challenge him. Victor told him the time and place and quickly raced home to hook up his nitrous set up and then met him and hosed him. Quite a funny article but I can't remember for the life of me where I read it now.

I believe the guy in "running on empty" (80's aussie car flick)
ran Nitrous in that chevy, and that was just for street racing. it's been around but not in your face an happy little bolt on comercial kits that every lancer owner can get their hands on..

plus i suggest you get some cam work and see if you can adapt the Pulsar GTiR quad throttle body injection setup to your engine, and maybe some extractors and head work.

You need to read the small print on the NOS packaging.

"NOS will not improve your chances with the chicky babes, results may vary between customers"

Might be a $600 motor, but it can be tuned properly for less than $600. Cheap insurance.

Spending your $600 on some Rohypnols or a small bottle of ether, might be a better investment.

You are looking to go a system thats sprays in to your inlet pipe after your air filter, but before your throttle also know as a fogger system.

ive seen a system thats sprays into the intake with an adapter just infront of the pod filter. this i take it is a #### system?
seen others that u need to drill and tap injectors into the intake( think plenum?) ( thats more like it).
obviously there is a difference, ne pro's n cons on those systems?
and 75hp shot seems feesable for the sr20de ( $600 motor but easy 3 cases of beer job to pull out and put bak in )

all i want is a nice hit for the dragsand maybe wakefield haha if they will let me?, and to be able to tell a chick at a nite club i own " a NOS powered street/drag ute" then tell em its a datsun muuhahahaha....

So who are the people using Nitrous?
Are you saying everyday driven cars, mums and dads taking kids to school and going to work, are actually using nitrous?
If I go look under my dads car seat, will I find a Sneaky Pete? Get your hand off it. If he has one, whats he using it for? Better mileage or street performance aka Street Racing?

Fact is, the 3 letters NOS has been a brand name for over 25years. Nitrous has been used for years before that for many a purpose.
Drag Racers used it - NOS brand was created - Numerous car heads used it - Years later Fast and Furious and Hot4's brought it to sheltered individuals. And here we are today.
Granted it might be new to yourself, but it is hardly new.

No I think 99% of users are old ladies that need to get to the shops faster.

a wet set up is where fuel & nitrous is injected through the same nozzle,& a dry system is where only the nitrous is injected through the
nozzle,& the fuel is supplied somewhere else, like
in a fuel injected car.the wet system has more
plumbing of fuel lines,a dry system needs some way to make the injectors give more fuel when the nitrous hits.as for how big a shot,it all depends on how strong/tough the engine is.
cheap throwaway motors soon stop being cheap if you're having to buy another every
week.if anyone can remember mad max 2,the
big cylinder on the monstousity that ran the interceptor off the road after leaving the refinery was supposed to be nitrous.which is why the revs went off the scale.lots of bullshit,i know, but it's an antidote to all the 'fake & the fatuous' myths out there.plus, nitrous was used
in german fighter planes during the second world war for rapid takeoffs.all the british had was dual stage supercharging on their merlin v12's,which is where the output of one supercharger is fed into a second supercharger for furthur compression.
