But as matbighat said, there's a sizeable contingent in the Atlanta area if you want to roll up there. Also, the Walter Mitty race at Road Atlanta next year will have alot of Datsuns there, specifically 510s and Zs (thinking of going myself ).

There's also the Summit Point/Brian Redman race in June/July every year that alot of 510s show up too.

If you want a 510, you should get on the Bluebirds email list. That'd be the best way to find one in your area.

Not the deep South, but there's a small 510 club in Georgia, probably because of Road Atlanta. Another 510 guy from North Carolina was at Shasta. I'm sure there's drag race guys in Florida, too.

Good question. I don't know the answer, but this is interesting. During the early 60's Nissan had their dealers mostly on the west coast (LA headquarters) and east coast (new jersey headquarters). They rapidly expanded inwards toward interior of the country, region by region, but even so many states got no or few dealers and therefore few sales. The Nissan history book lists sales figures by each state, I seem to recall one year Wisconsin has one sale, while thousands were sold in California.

But by 1972 though I would've thought those little 510s were everywhere.

Here's another theory: when it's time to get rid of one of the cars, should I keep the Dodge Charger or the Datsun? Hence most all the Datsuns have eventually been discarded in the 'used econobox' yard.

Very cool 510's I always wanted a 72 510, but you just don't see em here in the deep south ...............why?
