hey there wat kind of dash r u using in your ute. im trying to fit a s13 silvia dash n im running out of ideas has anyone done this b4. any photos or suggestions.

nah ill take it up then.. no indicators im not gettin busted for that and gotta do sum turning to get there dont want anacco or nething alike ill just get up an hour earlier

Hahaa classic. Why is it you going to the Auto Elec again? Auto Elec's arent magicians.
I wouldnt say that line to him if I was you.
If someone said that to me ( and they have many times ) I would find the short quickly. I would bypass the fuze with wire and simply look for the smoke. Then $75 an hour to repair the fault and burnt wiring. And I would fix it up good too, wouldnt want it to happen again. The least I could do is look after you and spend an extra 2 hours fixing it up like new.

I am guessing the 3am bit was a typing error.

Seriously just tell them what happens and then let them fix it.

ill go check everything i can see right now, seems like no Accessories are on at all?
so just non complete circuit ay


EDIT: i got no hope wires go everywhere i cant make out nething.. looks like ill have to do a 3am drive up to the auto elec to get him to look at it.. cant be too expensive he jsut gotta find the cicruit which is mucked up ay?

Simple, somewhere you have put ign positive wires to ground. Either that or you have squashed and damaged some wires and they are now shorting to ground.

nothin on my dash works ( sr20 conversion) all worked b4 i did the rebuild. checked fuses 2 always blow when i turn the car on or put lights on. no indicators nothing on the dash works at all no heater temp tacho etc...
i did remove the heater. could there be an earth on it?
ne possible solutions? bad earth? i checked all the fusable links i could find/see they are fine bar the 2 that keep blowing.

need the ute running quick as ive mucked around long enough now
ne help. else gotta get an auto elec to look at it and that will be expensive
