I live here in the U.S. & the 1400 in my 1200 came out of a 78 Datsun b210 GX . I order all my parts from my local parts store so I know they can get 'em . Just make sure you get the right pistons cause there is a diff. in the cc's from 78 & 79.

rockauto.com has them for $21.79. They've got most parts you'll need for a rebuild - but of course finding them on ebay will save you money costs you time. I've ordered from Rockauto before - never had problems.

I assume you'll do the main bearings at the same time too.

Here's some pictures of bearings to ease my boredom.

I found mine at Schucks or Knects auto part about 20.00 bucks or so. Have extra motor parts if you need them.

I'd do the bearings at the same time....no point reusing 20 yr old bearings on a brandnew bottom end.

Automotive suppliers in Aust still sell bearings for this engine. Places like "Repco" & "Burson" I'm not sure of the equivalent in the US.

The company who makes the bearings is called "Nason"

Big end bearings are around $30AUS, Main bearings are around $60AUS.

I think you should be able to find them in the US too...hopefully
