I think we will see the magic 250rwhp this year.....we plan to do more dyno work between race meetings.

The tune is still a little rough in the mid range, as soon as I can get the dyno sheet I will post it.

The xciting part for me was we did this without an intercooler. That means we have taken 6kg out of the front of the car, the engine will be more responsive and we actually picked up about 500rpm of usable power - it's all good!

I couldn't get it to work either, yet I could see it if I went to the site, so I copied it to my computer, then uploaded it to photobucket, & here it is.
Lets hope it works as good as it looks.

Don't you just love 'development' No radical changes, just fine tuning what you have & when you discover that there was more power just hiding in there, it's almost like a win in the lottery.
I hope that you fing the magic 250 before you're done.

Good initial results on the dyno...... last year we made 209rwhp, tonight after just two hours of tuning we were at 232rwhp. Still plenty left in it too, but the tuner wants me to run it atthe track, then have a look at the logged data. He see's the dyno as just another tool - nothing beats the real world.

Positive results so far, and this was on just 16psi - we plan to run up to 25psi in the mid range - not bad with a 36mm restrictor!

For those interested in the water injection ..... (turn off now dave :P ) We had removed the intercooler completely, and replaced it with 2.5" piping direct from turbo to manifold. While we were running the car in, temps were gradually rising, even though we were't holding any boost. As an experiment, we set the onset point of the water injection controller at 2psi, and built just enough boost to bring it on. Instantly, temps started dropping back from 59 degrees to C 35 degrees C.

We then fiddled with the water as we tuned, and got it to run at around 35 degrees even on full power runs! We turned the water off to see what it would do, and the inlet temps went straight up to over 100 degrees!

After turning the water back on, we messed around with fuel maps, essentially leaning the engine out - now running just a touch under 12:1 afr in the top end. Timing was also added, now running another 5 degrees of timing - on top of what we had previously run last year....all this resulted ina good initial tune.....plenty left to do, but 232rwhp is a good starting point.

Mark.

they sell those vortex things over there too...

Why do people want to think that they actually make the car run better?
