i checked and there is enough length in the absorber for some decent travel so no need for shortening. I have put the new springs in:

dont forget your absorber and strut too.. have to find shorter absober and cut the strutlower too.. i use pulsar? absorber that 2.5 to 3 inch shorter..

i didnt drive with them off. i just took them off to see how low it could go.

i have some new springs to lower the front and will hopefully get some 2inch lowering blocks soon awsell. i will put some pics up with the new springs in this weekend

This means there're no springs in front..? worry it would crack the chasis/ body frame..

All standard suspension. Took out the springs so it compressed onto the chocl absorbers and therefore sitting on the bump stops.

So how does removing the shocks lower the car? Do you have aftermarket coil-over-shocks? Or gas-charged shocks and struts (which shouldn't raise the car much)?

Yea im never going to sell those 12's i have on now but i will get some dished superlites and put those on. The 12's are just toooo thin.

Looks cool. Are you gonna keep those wheels or change them eventually?

I have been told that my old wags is coming along nicely. Its had full rails put in, a complete cage with front suspension mounting points, New firewall, floor, tunnel and huge tubs. Its just waiting for the one piece glass frontend to arrive in Australia.
Its going to be an interesting car to see on the drag strip
