Ok so ive decided to get my cam reground as the A15 is out of the sunny so i thought why not. The shop i go to deals thru Waggott cams and these are the profiles offered to me, they can be changed slightly tho...

They are fairly different from say Wade cams's profiles which i hear are an equally respectable company for A series and other engines.
Go to fast cam navigation, popular profiles then scroll down to Datsun A series.I will be running twin 40's on this motor, mild head job, lightened fly, balanced bottom end, elec ignition, headers etc. and hoping it to be faily hot but at the same time must be streetable.
For the waggott profiles i was leaning towards a mix between profile 667 & 127. So a duration of around the 270 - 290" mark and a cam lift or around the 295 - 305" mark.
What would the valve lift be for a cam like the one i described? And whats the valve lift for 667 & 127 (if it can be figured out!)
The cam i had before was a A3 cosworth (grind #125) which had specs of advertised in - 316deg & advertised ex - 309deg ; cam lift of in: 267" and ex 260".
This was WAY too lumpy and not hardly and lift at all, i didnt choose it they did, dont know why either.
Does this choice sound like a good option? At one time i want the engine to be peppy but others decent on fuel (which i dont think it wil be!) and fine to drive around town.
Thanks guys
Dave
Oh im getting the water galleries blocked up to for the new manifold...
