Yes, quite a few A12 GX engines came over as "used japanese engines" ... and a few GX setups were purchased from Datsun competition. Be assured it wasn't the original manifold, if your car is an LB110.

USA GX models
This is the very first I've heard about USA B110 GX models. Or do you mean B210s?

GreaseMonky, the A12 GX (twin carb) engine came with a cast iron exhaust manifold with a dual outlet.

DD, the seats are trashed, not sure about the heater hose. But I will check and get back to you

SLAM1024, I think I will keep the wheels, but I will let you know if I change my mind

Duncan, No straight bumpers sorry. And I will use the fenders to fix the coupe in the pics

B210Guy, the exhaust mani. is cast iron, I am trying to find out more info on the car from the previuos owner , to see what was done and when

Right about the vin, it's only sequential, but as for the 5 speed, that did come on USA GX models, all the other parts were Nissan Motorsport options even the 7 quart oil pan with baffles and a widage tray, and the 4-2 exhaust header, that's a GX part too, as I have that on my A-14, (if it's cast iron). BUT, we never got the carbs on a factory model.Quote:

Man, what a find.

There is no "VIN" in the sense of a code, 1200s only have a sequential serial number.

The build date should be on the driver's side b-pillar when you open the door.

1971 apparently had a higher compression piston, but that's not proven.

No USA 1200s came from the factory with twin carbs, only the GX models had those. And only the GX-5 came with a 5-speed.

8000 RPM factory tach was a dealer option. 10,000 RPM tach was a Datsun Competition part. Ditto for headers, though more likely they are aftermarket. An oil pan with wings is aftermarket.

Check out www.ebay.com.AU

Radiator supports are pretty regular as are are fenders and hoods. . . All re-production.

I could use a straight rear bumper and a right-side fender in decent shape..

I could use:

1.
Front seats, if they are in good conditions with no tears.

2.
The inside heater hose, the short piece that's inside the passenger compartment, if the one on your car is in like-new condition.
