Yeah... I know where the ZG title came from.. And I just LOVe them! they are so quick and easy and inexpensive and look fricking awesome. I had them on my last Z I sold in November. At the expense of dragging this forum down to Z-content, let me see if I can find a decent pic..... yeah, here's one... right before I went around him...

I don't know how to link photos to the forum but in my photos under the title My Toy is a pic of my racecar with the flares you are talking about.

"bolt-on flares (what we Z people call ZG flares)"

Can't help you with pics of 1200's with box flares, but this quote got my attention. As a Z guy I am sure you are aware, but at risk of being Mr. Obvious I'd like to point out that the reason the overfenders for the S30 Z-car are commonly refered to as "ZG" flares is because they were OEM on the S30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG in Japan. This model was released to homologate these parts for Group 4 racing (ie the long nose, overfenders and rear spoiler). You will probably notice that the racing cars had much more "wild" fibreglass additions though - this was still within the FIA rules as these more extreme parts were available as sport options. The "G" in 240ZG by the way stands for "Grande Nose" according to Nissan.

Sorry for hijacking! Back to the topic at hand...

I have been through hours of the photos on this wonderful site--and there's a good chance i missed it somehow--but does anyone have or can point me to photos of 1200 race cars in full fibreglas? What we call 'box flares' on a 510, 944 or M3.... All of the photos seem to have bolt-on flares (what we Z people call ZG flares) or welded flares. I'm looking for Works or other race cars with full fibreglas panels.

Hopefully, TIA!
