Shift light you say ....... hmmm, I thought it was a "ready" light - when it goes out, your tyres are ready I agree 1200, shift lights always seem to light up too early
Cheers

Us old fellas dont need to watch those fancy shift lights because we learnt to drive by instinct long before shift lights became the norm Sorry to imply you're old Jeff cause your still younger than me
Huntley looks like fun and would be a good atmosphere with a few 1200's around.

Ahhhh Dodgeman,
all tongue in cheek Not unhappy with the engine per se, just a little frustrated at the top end due to the aforementioned carby set up. It has plenty down low but a bit more fiddling will get what I want ....
Thanks again for your observations, I am trying to get the footage on site asap.
Cheers

Come now dear fellow, by the way you were 'warming' the tyres, that 'nothin' of your goes an awfull long way.
Speaking of tyres, what brand of tyre do you use anyway? I want to buy shares in the company.

Skyline went home on the back of a tilt tray - suspected cam belt was the rumour. All that technology and still no cure for the simple failures Won his class though.

I still want to know how much boost that black Skyline was running.
In an early run it leapt off the line like nothing I ever saw leaving a cloud of black smoke behind it you could hardly see through. By the livin' Harry it got with the programme like a cat with a cattle prod up it's freckle
I think that he overdid the boost though as it seemed to get slower with each run untill if finally cried 'uncle'

Thanks for the comment - but "I got nothin' " at present. Still running the venturies and fuel/air combo from the A series Give me a month or so and I will hopefully have the comp raised and a bit of stick to use Still sounds good though!
The 19.5 car is an open wheeler (Formula Libre over 2 litre I think) with what is basically a supercharged VW motor. It is a lot more exotic than that of course but I cant know the specifics - runs on methanol though
Awesome machine in motion !!
Cheers
