hi all,
with a multimeter and regulated DC supply, i tested that thing out
so, there is 3 way switch, "off", "standard", "electronic"
2 LED,
and 4 wire, black (i assume is gound), green wire (with male connector) blue and yellow (with female connector)
so i assume black is ground (-ve) and assume green is +12v
i hoook them up and turn to 'electronic' on the 3 way switch, the LED for "ign on" lid,
but tested, both blue and yellow no voltage.
than i switch to 'standard' on the switch, blue wire show 12v , LED is off,
swtich to off, blue and yellow lead also no electric...
strange... just not make sense..

I doubt if it is a CDI, those are usually thicker.
It looks like a regular electronic ignition module.
Black usually goes to the distributor points, blue to the coil, yellow or red to tachometer, and that leaves green to power (but green is not common). But it might be totally different and wiring it incorrectly could damage it. Does it have any markings on the back or near the wires?
My advice: Don't use it, just use the stock setup until you can find wiring diagram. Nissan electronic distributors use a different type of control box from what I've seen.

Dude, sounds like you got yourself a CDI system. Capacitive Discharge Ignition.
