Hey Ian, I actually missed the Great Race start cause I had a kart race but raced home after it got hit and it turned into a pig. I have researched those SCCA and IMSA cars and have had a number of conversations with the former Nismo US boss who helped fill in the gaps.

it's trevor harris i believe, and he was a mechanic on pete brock's trans am bre datsun team as well as on the electramotive gtp car later on

website mentions the devendorf 1200 but no pics

I am very interested in how possibly the most important Datsun 1200 in US history was allowed to leave the country and end up in another hemisphere...

The Datsun performance suspension guide on this site mentions a car that won the C Sedan championshion driven by Don Devendorf and prepared by Travor Harris. I think Devendorf won several years in a row, but I don't know if it was with the same car. Seems like it might be the most important 1200 in American racing history but there are no pics or info anywhere I've looked.
