Those Koken tools look very nice! I've never seen them in Australia. The oval shank on the T bars is a smart idea, their. The nut busters look pretty cool too.http://www.koken-tool.co.jp/en/

I bought a koken 1/2" drive impact socket to get mine undone, about $20 or so, they only had 10mm in impact so that's what I got. Worked a treat too, except clearance is a tad tight especially where the hex parts on the camshafts are. My bolts were very tight- I had a 3/8" drive in hex set but I just got the 'somethings gonna give and it's not the bolt' feeling so go the koken socket. I like Koken tools but they are a bit dear so I don't have many.

Yeah...well one socket was 16.95 or 50 for the set of 8...thought why not.

Your engine is tempting lag - but I'm pulling this motor apart for the experience. I have a turbo motor as well - if I had that extra grand kicking about I'd be at your door. That manifold looked awesome too!

Here's why the current motor is for experience only ...

I bought an allen key socket set from Bunnings for $40 or $50 which worked a treat.

Downloaded the 2007 Kincrome Catalouge got mesmerised for a couple of hours....but found the part number for:

13626M: 8 pce metric hexagon socket set 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17mm

or HS10M 10mm hexagon socket

all 1/2" drive - which works for me with a 1/2" torque wrench.

I guess the ARP stuff was hard as the socket had to get down the stud to the nut on the head and no socket was deep enough?

^ haha andrew i can relate, i just bolted my head down last week with the ARP studs and WHAT A PRICK!!! half inch multihex didnt fit down the hole, had to buy a 3/8 multihex socket in 1/2 inch and that fouled on the tops of the studs so went back again and got the same 3/8 socket but in deep. NEVER again i say.

When i took the stock bolts out i had to use a 3/8 10mm hex bit i bought from my local total tools for like 6 bucks... worked a treat.
