Yep, like wipers. I got under the dash last night and had a gander. Everything looked clean enough. I reseated everything and it worked fine.

Half way to work this morning it started playing up again. Something loose somewhere. . .

I have 1 problem though. If I pull the dash out I might end up stripping the whole car. It has happened before!

I was talking to a bloke last friday, who said that cars which use a voltage stabiliser on the dash need to have a good earth. He said if your earth to the dash is weak, the temp guage will read high.
Just food for thought I spose.

if youre talking a valotage regulator it should have an constant o/p from it at any engine/alternator speed of around 13.7 volts. If it fluctuates try to adjust it but if its a mechanical one it means its noisy and you should do away with it and the standard Hitachi alternator. Get a reco bosch one from I think a KB laser (straight bolt in). Only need to connect 1 wire and it has an internal regulator. Make sure the internal reg is genuine bosch as aftermarket regs such as ingram and ashown ones arent much chop. Should cost u all up no more than $150 and all probs will be solved.
If youre in Sydney you can call hornsby auto electrical (Chris and Doug) or Jacks auto electrical in Artarmon (Jack)

Hey Folks,

My Fuel and Temp Gauges in my KB10 are wandering. Looks like the only common thing between them is the "Voltage Stabiliser".

Anyone know what voltage they are supposed to sit at? Other ideas maybe?
