a twin downdraft 38/38 from a capri would be a better setup but lynx cast alot of useless manifolds and adapters. They could at least cast an nissan, alfa, suzuki or honda v6 for webers or injection but no they do this instead, dorks!.

I think that this is intended for cars that came with a sidedraught from new. You give the carb[s] the flick, fit one of these in place of each carb on the original manifold, then mount a downdraught carb on top.

Ummmmm, OK.

Dont people with LHD 1200's have problems with sidies not clearing the master cyl's? If this allows the carb to sit above the rocker cover it would solve that problem, cool I think.

lol that's one of those lawn mower filters, found on old VW's also.

i think it's the trumpet/filter thing too.

it would be pointless otherwise, unless it went to some old 2cyl SAAB 2 stroker.

the spacer plate makes the trumpet longer?

I guess increases the runner length by lots....

and it may as well adapt to the stocky manifold, like others putting Webers DD with adapter to stocky manifolds with good results,

not ideal but interesting..

Bit like the Filter adapter I Have, most filters dont have enuff space to fit trumpets, this adapter acts as tumpet, and gives space for a bigger filter, or even poke it out the bonnet.. (not with the crappy filter it came with of course... ) Open in new window

It's described as being 'rare'. I can see why.

I didn't know such a thing existed...

I reckon it would look a bit strange once installed...
