I found the best way is to get them customised with a little extra thread. so you can use the tie-rod's you want and have enough room to set them up better than stock. We have an old dude in syd who rallys datto's and does them from home.

probably one of the only times where "if all else fails, get a bigger hammer" is the right thing to do

here's the thing: The stanza struts need the later 120y lower control arms and castor bars as the older items wont let the stanza knuckle fit. Also, my tie rod end are typically stuck and I can't make them budge

You really need to measure things up before you go 'customising' the tierods, lower arms, or steering knuckles.

toe out? adjust the steering so that both wheels are pointing straight ahead, if you mean positive camber...then that's a little different.

Could you switch the steering knuckles?
So the different tierod diameter is causing you trouble? Meaning you have to run the original 120y stuff, which means you can't get enough toe, to keep the alignment straight ahead?

Same dilema! except I havent adjusted anything yet. Unfortunatley I'm using Stanza struts with late 120y lower control arms (turns out the ones on my 75 sedan had smaller knuckle joints then my 77 coupe) and the 12mm (the bar measured up 13mm? )tie rod ends. The toe out on my 120y looks horrific and I'm not game to take it over 80kph like that

BTW, sorry for stealing this thread but I need help like today for this cos when I work I get absolutley no time to sort anything out

Yeah..forgot this was 120Y.com

Either way, the difference in length of the stanza lower arm, dictates that you need a longer tie rod.

I know the 1200 tierod doesn't work with stanza lower arms, that's a massive accident waiting to happen, with only a few threads either end after the 'wheel alignment guy' sets your toe-in..
