Yes BendDatsun....they have to respond financially. I have 100% confidence that you will not have any trouble collecting damages.

I wish I had a recorder...the flying van....that is a good one.....read it in the next "Inquirer"...LOL

I believe the cam damage was due to mishadling by DHL personel. Either the delivery driver, warehouse personel or someone somewhere in between is the party(ies) to blame..

As a matter of fact about 4 days ago I was astonished with what I saw, first time I ever saw a van flying up in the air. As I drove on a double lane two way street, I saw a DHL yellow van trying to enter the street
....( opposite to my direction about 1/2 a block ahead..I saw it all )...
.....and in his adamant effort to beat the oncoming traffic, he drove down thorough the driveway he was pulling out from at speed, hitting the sloping driveway's end ( dip)and up again at the street pavement / driveway junction , lifting the van up in the air as the van hit the bottom section of said driveway. He landed with the front wheels first...then the rear ones, bouncing several times....it was a thing out of this world.........you can imagine the boxes inside that van.....might had been like a NASA high flying training plane ....no gravity inside and everything within flying around in all directions ....LOL

I believe that , regardless of the packaging.....a cam is not something to throw around because it is not a light box with plastic toys or anything that light easily tossed off. It is not a flower pot or a glass bottle in a box that due to its light weight could be falling and bouncing around..this is a heavy item...and from your picture I saw it looks as if it was fairly packaged.
It did not break like that just from moving within a box, it broke like that only after being slammed, thrown off, falling hard from a high surface....etc ... and that is DHL's responsability.

You should have no problem ( or the sender ) in seeking damages from that courier service. But you can not wait for weeks to have that part of the issue resolved in order to put your car together. You have to get another cam.
