just got another couple of ideas..1 thermostate sticking[not opening fully]you can use jug of boiling water to check operation,[dont use a plastic container they cool off to quick.] let cool. i use acc temp gauge[capilery type ;not electric] to check temp of water & let cool to about 5deg hotter than stamped on thermostate[water will coll off a bit more when you put it in the water as it will take time to open if it does not fully open replace it.do not cut center out or leave it out they are need to regulate water flow as well as temp..2; cloged rad there is 2 opitions to get cleane 1-preasure back flush 2-remove tanks & have it speared please do not do either of these if you have no experieance get done at rad shop. if it is clutch fan you can repair them if they are screwed together i buy the silicon oil from toyota spare parts them ..[ must use right oil]..normerly 1 bottle is enough on a 4cyl
but depends on size of hub.don't forget to back flush eng....p.s normal gaden hose dose not normaly work to do flushing.

well i doubt now its the radiator... it only happens when going up hills under load or above 80kmh. temp drops once laod drops or under 80kmh... after talking with pigdogs brother, he thinks water pump impekkers are gone but others thought the clutch fan may be disengaging at load or high speed.

i still thoughtbottomhose might be collapsing under load.

might replace radiator with gemini one, bottom hose andswapping clutch fan for normal water pump fan. also thought the fa belt mightbe slipping.

this is a pain in the a$$.

correct name is bakers solidering fluid, you can buy at b.o.c gas outlets or usually any welders ware house & most hardewares.tip clean paint off first then heat up with iron, then apply bakers & rub with brush reapply bakers & then solider flush with plenty of water.repaint using black enamel. this applys only if rad is copper and is on main core & not on tanks.remeber clean first before heating, pleasure to help happy cruising.

if it.s on the main core i.,ll say yes a 25w-40w will do it.you will have to use bakers fluid and a stainless steel brush to cleane it though as to make sure the solder takes

Leave the cap off and it wont build up any pressure, so it wont be forced out the pinhole.
