I've got 14" wheels with 195/60 on the front and 195/65 on the back I think. The cars lowered at the front but not at the back. The fronts only rub on full lock and the backs don't seem to touch.

Hey Burke, take a look at Datsun 1200 Encyclopedia - Wheels. 100% of it applies to the 120Y as well, except that 120Y has a bit more room.

13" wheels are really the default standard for all small Datsuns these days.

As Boofhead said, just buy some Stanza, 1600 or 180B wheels with tyres [thats t-y-r-e-s] & bolt them on your car. Use the wheel nuts from the donor car if you can round them up as they are made from a larger section material & offer a bigger 'seat' in the rim, but if not, then don't lose sleep over it.

If you keep the tyre size reasonably small [standard size] then you should have no problems.

12" s are still available but for the availability and the cost you can get 13"s, it's not really worth it in chasing 12"s unless youreally want to keep it original.

and yes you can just put the 13" wheel and tyre straight on to your car, you'll have no issues or problems with tyre clearance. if you get some tyres with tread you may even find your 1/4 mile time will be better due to added traction and the bigger rolling diameter of the tyre

but going from 12" to 13" would it be lose or something

what ??????????
loose ... get rid of ... throw away ... dispose of .... the 12" wheels and tyres and get a new set of 13" wheels with tyres on them. you should be able to get something from most wreckers. if you cant find a datto set a corolla set will do the job as well ............
