Thanks mate

Whats the diff boost wise????

Most turbos i buy are bush type without any flanges on the outlet and usualy no water.

it has a crack on the exhaust side...
Although nearly every turbo i have purchased has been cracked as its very comon they seem to last 4 ever anyway.
Its when they get a huge leak you can feal a bit of lag.

Can you buy just the exhaust side new anywhere??????

I have been told not to weld cast cause it wont do the job

Has any1 or any1 no of people doing this???

Its a fanny hair line crack in from the waste gate wall nearly all the way to the flange and you can see another fanny hair line crack on the outside...

Any ideas any1 on
-the fanny hair crack situaition
-The outlet situation

If i cant work out soon ill put back on and search for a
VL turbo
Or any t3 with no fanny crack...lol...

thanks all so far...

The turbo you have is from a SR20 S14 silvia 94-96 model TB2809 only the S15 SR20det came with ball bearing option model 471104-1 TB2815 . So Id say you have a plain bush bearing type
Turbo models
Also it doesn't match any of the GT series turbo model numbers.
GT turbos
Cheers Andrew

The s15 ball bearing turbo should have a cast divider wall between turbine discharge and
wastegate.

Demo the number you have found is on a lot of diff turbos. I have seen it on a stock ca18 T25 and T28 of silvia the number you need to find exact type should be on a little alloy tag on the centre peice or core of the turbo. Give me this number and I shoudl be able to shed some light on the info your after.
Cheers Andrew
