I've got a very basic set up but with all the essential areas covered (diff, brakes, suspension) and I'm up to around $8500. I painted it myself and also did all the work apart from the diff shortening. I still haven't payed for engineering yet which I'm expecting to add an easy $1500+ depending on what he wants me to fix.

The engineering process in vic costs about $500-700 but unless you have done everything under the eye of the engineer, there will be things they will make you change which will cost more $.

i added it up the other night as i am starting to get the parts needed for the conversion.. everything from engine/box computer and harness, conversion kit, bigger diff, tailshaft, brake upgrade, clutch converion, intercooler setup, radiator setup, exhaust system, engineered for a round $5,500.. thats an approx price and doin all of the work myself apart from the machining.

Thats for a completely stock CA aswell

If you follow what alot of guys have done before you, you can avoid the ongoing consultations.

Most engineers are stand offish with guys like us. Just my experience, like they think we won't pay up or something.
