unfortunatelly no, what i did was get onto it with a grinder and then lathe it down so there was approx 10mm after butterfly left. Id suggest finding a smaller throttle body off something and using that, much easier. Was using a ct12 from twin 2j setup, no carbon seal. Ran the su carby in front of the turbo real close, then blew into the throttle body. Worked fine cant comment on longlivetity as converted to delco efi from a camira but cant see a prob as no vaccuum to suck oil on intake of turbo. As far as im aware the carbon seal only prevents oil being sucked out under vacuum, the fuel going through it shouldnt leak in. Make sure you dont get fuel puddling or it will go rich as soon as you crack throttle after ideling. Got the idea off a mate from his turbo mini setup and it lasted ages before he got sick of box problems

If the carbie was left on, there will still be a small amount of vaccuum available form the idle oriface. It's debatable that any fuel would be able to find it's way through there to sustain the engine at idle. But if you say you done it, maybe it does.

the throttle body after the turbo works, had that stup on my brothers celica when we were first getting it going, couldnt be bothered removing the original carby so just disconnected the fuel to it

there would still be vaccum, just not a hell of alot

that throttle body after turbo idea is not very convincing to me either.... it cant work

stay away from 32/36s in blow through setup (unless its a HKS one of course)

cheap = unreliable

you need to lock electronic dizzy just the same as points (done it)

injection = much much better

Right Though 'normally' the plate in the first throat is little bit open so the vacuum gets there.

I just don't get that how the vacuum does not get into the charger and simultaneously there is gasoline accessing the engine. Is there some sort of bypass for idle? So the gasoline will bypass the turbo when gas pedal is being lifted and throttle body after turbo is closing and stopping the vacuum... Perharps I am missing some basics of suck through turbo setups... But please do excuse my stupid questions and ignorance

How is the engine running when the throttle is closed?

Just think of it like when your foot is off the gas on any car, they still idle.

Could somebody explain how actually the after turbo throttle body functions in a suck through setup? I understand that the basic idea is to prevent the vacuum going in the charger and sucking out the oil. How is the engine running when the throttle is closed?

I haven't looked at them for a while but I think on one turbo the wastegate flapper is on the manifold rather than integral to the turbo.

yeh I think that was the reason
