Not harsh on an old engine, but it will most likely need the compression dropped.

There are countless really good posts on turboing these engines, just use the search button.

yea i rev her pretty hard wen needed and she goes mad but i gess nuffin compares after getting the turbo boost into ur veins......is a turbo to harsh on an old engine lyk this?

Have you had the ute on a dyno to see the sort of torque curve you have at the moment?

Also knowing the compression ratio would be good.

Doyle, are you revving it high enough? With those parts, if done right it should be running sweet at over 4,000 rpm. Rev her up to at least 6,000 and keep her revved high for maximum performance

if its already got webers that are in good tune, making up fuel injection for it and keeping it NA wont give you much of a power boost
