Hi all!

New member and just wanted to say Hello! I've just purchased a project ute - a 1972 Mazda 1000. I know its not a Datsun, but I figured they are pretty close and so far I haven't found any mazda 1000 ute clubs!!

So I hope you guys don't mind me hanging around!

We're doing a full restoration on this ute. So far the entire thing has been stripped back to nuts and bolts and the chassis sand blasted and undercoated. The body is in pieces and I'm scraping all the sound deadening off ready for it to be sand blasted as well...also has some rust that needs cutting out and repair! I'll post some pics for everyone a little later.

I was hoping though that someone here might know what i need to perform a Disk Brake conversion for the front end. I know that other mazdas brought out on this platform had disks up front - so does anyone know if I can order the parts from a later model vehicle?

Cheers
Dez.
