alot of stuffing around??????
only thing you need to do over putting stanza struts in is new spring cups,no etc at all only one thing needed to do.....not exactly rocket science
then you end up having a strut that will actually allow suspention travel

but the 240k struts need alot of stuffing around to make them work, so im thinking of just going the stanza route. what exactly is involved with making the 240's work? new spring cups etc?

Sounds to me like good info from pigdog. Didn't realise you already had 240k struts so with the extras pigdog mentions you are almost done and should be plenty of money left over.

seems as your running TRX rims, might as well go to the bigger struts

so first on your list of things to buy would be

late ute, late 120y stanza or sunny control arms
stanza or sunny steering arms
stanza or sunny balljoints
stanza or sunny tierod and outer tierod end
late ute or late 120y castor rods

then you can bolt most of the bigger datsun struts straight in, such as the 240k struts you have for sale
so that $700 covers all the suspention stuff too i guess?
and are you planning on doing anything to the rear brakes?

Mate, Lots of different strut/brake combinations available and the guys here seem to have a wealth of knowledge but you probably need to give a bit of info an what is it you are trying to achieve ?

If you currently have a front drum brake set up and just want the basic disc brake setup then 120y or Sunny struts are an easy change.
If you want bigger brakes then 200b or Stanza struts may be the go and this would allow the ability to upgrade to bigger disks and calipers in the future.
There are plenty of other bigger, better and more expensive options, but how much have you got to spend ?

Yes TRX Rims will go on Stanza struts with no problems.
