B210 with A14 engine has center-sump pan.

Aussie B210s have A12 engine.

B310 (Datsun 210) has front sump pan, just like B110.

Someone has suggested I might have myself a japanese take-out engine. Does anyone know what model came with the center-sump pan?

Will go grab the pan off the 210 at the local u pull wrecking yard sometime this week.

well, there's a difference. Aussie B210 (aka 120Y) used the same sump config as the B110.

wiki - Oil pan

Use the B110 pan and pickup. Or a B310 pan and pickup. You have to switch the oil scoop thingy with the pan.

Heres the story: I have an A14 from a '78 B210. It has the layout with the deep part of the pan and the oil pickup in the middle. I am putting this engine in my 1200 and obviously the crossmember position requires the pan with the deep part and oil pickup at the front.

I have another 1200 that came with an A14 in it - it has an A14 oil pan with the correct shape. I browsed the wiki and forums and all the pictures I see show A14's with the correct front pickup oil pans. What A14 oil pan do I need to find? Is it just late-model B210s with the oil pickup in the middle position instead of front?

I assumed I had to use the A12 oil pan. That did not work out too well!

Thanks!
