Feral Errol used to sell a good used box for $550 and he was never short of buyers. I have been lucky in the past getting them and now I'm on the hunt for more. They are the 'Top Loader' to my L18.

I wouldnt say they are rare, you just need to know where to look. Last I checked there were two on ozdat for <$250ea. Personally I'd find a cheap r30 and wreck it, you can sell the injected L24 to someone wanting to inject their zed, R180 to someone rallying a 1600/180b and scrap the rest.

They are hard to get. Dogleg 63a L series box came from a stanza. There is a long (standard size) and a stumpy (same length as an A series auto). The R30 Skyline (locally produced) has the stumpy 5 speed standard H pattern.

***I DON'T KNOW HOW THIS ENDED UP IN 'CLASSIFIEDS'***
If anyone has any Info on the STUMPY boxes... Plz let us know. The problem I'm having finding one might just be because I don't quite know what I'm looking for? What car, year models they came in, any mods to put behind a CA18det?? even a pic of the car.
I'm in Melbourne... Does anyone know of any places???
Thanks.
