120y sway bar are they beefier than the 1200 one ? Also if my wheels are occasionally hitting the inner guard like under my feet on crappy roads. What would you suggest to reduce that ? Apart from beating the inner guard in as far as i can and making it look like a butcher has taken to my car.

60a 4 speed was available at the right price and was told that infamous bolt in application, and no funds for a 5 speed ever on the horizon for something that is overpriced imho and hard to fix economically comercially.

Oh also for got did

7. 120y sway bar and

8. adjustable castor rods.

Neat looking sedan mate. Like the flutes in the guards. Apart from obvious things like cost difference, availability. Is there a particular reason for using a 60a 4 speed rather than a 60a 5 speed ?

well here is todays projects with pig dogs mighty assistance again with the a series till the L series is all go go go:

1. New rear main seal on the a series

2. New sump gasket and beat the dent out of the sum that was there when i bought the car

3. finish and install front end coil over suspension

4. New Hd a15 clutch kit

6. install 60 a 4 speed gear box.

Well all except number 6 got done in a marathon effort.
Didnt install 60 a as took 1.5 hours to reinstall the 56a! yes thats right bastard got jamed in and also would go into the tunnel.

For some reason the previous owner sat the engine back further and higher than necessary. This meant the clutch fork lever fouled on the tunnel and actucally has a dent and cut for it not to foul on the tunnel.Yes this is with the stock 56a! No wonder it didnt look like anything else will fit in my tunnel cause even the stock gear box almost doesnt! So this ate into the time to mod up a gear box cross member for the 60 to fit so we canned that idea.

Some supprises were that my eninge runs ok for some of the work done to it, Crank machining, cam and for some unknown reason a double timing chain... so its a mystery motor. Should go better though.

It was one fo those days that should have gone easyish but every thing went pear shaped.

At least coil overs are done now, just have to lower that rear end... need to buy two more axle stands for that one and some g clamps.

So a bit of maintenance on the a series before some L series surgery in the form of a 120y tunnel first off and finish collecting the parts from there.

Pics coming tomorrow of high riding rear end.
