I think that if I buy an used one, then it'll probably break sometime soon anyway. A new one is probably the way to go. I've got some mates who are handy, so we'll see if we can thread it again. But, I'll still keep an eye out on ebay. Cheers for your comments guys.

You see them brand new complete with lever occasionally on eBay from a guy in Japan, keep an eye out and one should pop up sooner or later.

Hey guys. I went to the auto store, bought some new oil, radiator flush, and coolant thinking all was well. I went to open the bonnet at home, and SNAP!, the cable broke for the bonnet release. Anyone know whether these can be bought brand new? Or whether anyone has run more wire through on of these before? Cheers.
