Yer the motor we just took out was straight from the wreckers , it's the non-turbo model but we then fitted one on it running 2600cc injectors per cylinder ( Stock about 300 to 400cc ) plus other goodies that helps lol

OK I get it now. That was c. 1994 Supra -- a true super car, very fast in the heavy totoya, I can only imagine how fast that engine would be in a light 1200.

When you say stock, you surely do not mean factory condition. At least you have increased the boost, right?

Sorry, I should have made myself clear.
The fellow who raced is probably in his mid to late 60's by now, it was his younger brother who was involved in the car accident somewhere in Sydney.

He worked for the PMG Dept as an apprentice mechanic. I started as an apprentice mechanic with the PMG in January 1966 & was looking forward to meeting him when he returned from the Xmas break.
He never came back to work for the aforementioned reason.

Thanks for the comments , yes i did have a 12 second silver Hyundai Accent to but sold it a while back and that Halpin who was killed at the speedway was no relation to me .
