i had 15 x 6.5 40+ offset on the ute. fine n the rear witha 5mm spacer, had some srcubbing on fronts at full lock, had 195 50 15 all round, even with 195 45 15 still had some.

I found handeling was rubbish and wanted to tramline every where.

better with 6inch wide or under on a raod car i found

i have 16x6 or 6.5 ROH wheels on mine. not sure of offset. they where on there when i got it.
by the part number on the spring, says i have 120y struts ??? 195x45 on front and 195x50 on the back. does scrub a little on the inner part if the guard and had to roll the lip of the floor pan where the inner guard joins flat. and had to modify the front lip of the wheel arch at the bottom in front of the tire too. both very easy jobs to do. you'll see what i mean when u get em on. i would rather go for 15's my self so u can get it a bit lower but they are 2,500 worth of wheels so why not leave em on. if any one can post pics for me i can email them to them, and u can see what they look like. nice wheel. good dish too. send me a pm if u can help!!!

wit a stock body there is not a chance of fitting 16x6.5s and hbeing able to turn. you cant fit 15x6s and not modify the body at all

but to make them fit at the front you just need to choose the right ride height and cut a bit of the front corner of the front guard out

with the right offset and ride height they will also fit on the back

It's the same here. You probably have a better selection in Tasmania.

Take a look at datsun1200.com Wheels.

Do you want a guarantee? Maybe you can fit 6.5" wide wheels, maybe you can't.

Stock ute wheels are 4" wide.

hey people... can i fit 16x6.5's on a datsun ute??
Not without modifying the body. 6" wide wheels are the limit.

Well, if you narrower tires on it might fit under the fenders. Say 205/50R16 tires. And spacers, depending on the wheel offset.

Don't buy the wheels without a trial fit...

its a 1985 1200 ute all standard struts & brakes i think the wheels are a 40 or 45 offset but i was thinkin i could use bolt on spacers ... i was told 16x7's would hit on the gtouard wen i turn... all i did b4 the respray was roll the lips up..
