The one in the wiki looks nothing like the one I pulled from my 1200, the 240 one looks identical.

part #'s x2161-30600 and x2160-30600
came back as NLA and I got nothing from the dealer search also. The # B7017-B8500
also cme back the same way but from the part # I think that may be for a 620 pickup.

Edit: Datsunitis is right, that 240 one looks very close to the 1200 valve

Thanks Kelmo.

The original and superseded part # for the '71 B110 heater valve are in this string. Hope you are successful for all three of us.

Guys,
Nissan dealers can check other dealers inventory through Nissans website. It is a bit of a cumbersome affair to do but can be done. I would gladly do searches for anyone on this site. I have been trying to get Nissan to allow me to import/export parts but they don't seem too interested.
I have tried to order a heater valve for my '72 it went back order and then cancelled.
I will try on Monday on the heater valve and post up what I find.

Kelmo

Edit: Nissan dealers in the States can check other dealers. Outside the country does not show on searches. Thought I should clarify that.

I'm in Massachusetts. Happy to buy a decent used part as long as it appears to be moving freely with no visible leaks.

Thanks usmcfred

There's a 1200 in wrecking yard in Portland, OR and some in LA, California area.

Otherwise you might find someone parting out...

Where are you at?

Dealer and on-line parts sources both say no longer in production and none in stock at dealers. The part number that superseded X2161-30600 is B7017B8500. I had the dealer check both part numbers and it came back none available.

Any other ideas? Does anyone have a decent used part?

Any help most appreciated.

Thank you, usmcfred

Nissan USA probably has 73x the parts stashed away in distribution warehouses compared to Nissan NZ (USA has 73x population of NZ). That includes some older parts too.

Could they get some parts from Australia?Nissan dealers here in USA don't seem to be able to or want to check inventory in other countries.

But some of the parts orderable here apparently come from Japan, they are "on back order" then 2 or 3 months later they arrive.

Maybe Kelmo can tell us more about how it works.
