cant see how they can police if it was installed prior to aug 1 or not unless they give you a recipt from mechanic or certificate.

also cant do it for just raising and not lowering.

i know my car is above 100mm and doesnt jump all over the road when i hit a bump, it actually handles better and more predictably at current height than at standard height. might be a little more than 5cm lower than stock, but not by much.

Seems like you guys have some major hectic rules over there. The cops try that stunts here in SA from time to time but there are so many loop holes in the system that you could get away with almost anything and if you have done an extreme motor swop and need a rwc you just need to take the guy at the test station for a drive so he can tell his buddy about it and all is cool lol. I love that bit of my country!

the only thing that need changing is the double standeds, that they breed into police these days, frankston's finest's belive that my 1200 ute with with a black bonnet and one tire allmost on the wear marker, should be deemed unfit for road use and needed a full RWC (didnt matter that i had a pair new tires down at the shop waiting for me to pick up after work), yet i can drive my POS patrol, that is raised (only a tad), tires bigger than standed, paint flaking off, zorst leak, hasnt been washed in 6 months and could stop to save it self!! and they dont look twice!! i wish i didnt have to drive it!! only till my defect is cleared..

there is always going to be people that look at the positives and not the negatives of spring chopping, its very easy, and much cheaper than a set of coilovers... haha i myself am not for this sort of stuff, feel free to do it to a track car, but i thin there is no place for it on the road

i dont see there new idea for a system actualy working... there will allways be people that chop springs.. there will allways be people who "want it slammed" or "low down stylz". so realy they are only #OOPS#ing it up for the people who are allready doing the right thing!!

I agree. Maybe I'm getting old. But the roads are not getting any better.

If you want a sports car ..buy one.. or engineer your old car properly.

This just stops the dodgy brothers honda/hyundai/dunnydore owners with the angle grinder. That kind of lowering action is dangerous. Hit a dip at speed in the wet, and you'll be aquaplaning off the road and into a tree.
