I've got a H72 block here and although I havnthad a good look but I cant see extra/thicker webbing in the block compared to A15. There are some differnces but nothing I would equate to being stronger etc...But definately not an expert in the field.

I think there is a difference in the location of the oil pickup location between some A14's and A15's.

There are several block castings for A14. The last one is appears to have been shared with the A15. Part numbers are different however.

If I'm not mistaken there is no difference between the A14 and A15 block.

It is only the crank and pistons that differ.

The A14 is close to a square stroke with its' 76mm bore and 77mm stroke. Anyone else want to put up other possible reasons?

This has probably been covered before but I've seen people writing that the A14 block is superior to the A15 and I just wish know why. Thanks
