Don't think it has been turned down. Having a look at factory race specs would be awesome Bart.

I actually think Kelfords, (Or maybe their predecessor camshaft technology) had a series of grinds called "a##" etc. At school I had a mate who's capri had an A79, and his other mate had an A81. (Both in fords)
Has the core been turned down between the lobes to allow for the regrinding of the base circle?
Post up the Cam specs just for sh!ts and giggles.
I have a book with the factory race specs in it somewhere. hit me up sometime if you wanna take a look.

It has the fuel pump cam.
Looks to have Y and either the top of a 2 or a question mark stamped in the end. It was used in a road car running pump gas with a ported GX head that has 6mm skimmed off it (its under 71mm thick). The only thing that confuses me is it has relativity low lift compared to how much duration.

How are most A series cam's duration advertised? Seat or at 0.050" lift etc?

Nissan Competition # 82 cam perhaps. Or a Tomei # 82
Is it missing the fuel pump cam?

Does anyone have any info on the factory race cam's?

I have a cam out of a race motor here. Got it checked by the local cam grinder's and he seemed to think it was an 'a82 big old factory race cam'. I assume it means 82 degrees.

Digging around a bit i found on this picture of the original tuning parts brochure. Under cam i think i can see '82'

Just wanting to know if anyone has run one and how they go? According to the check its ~9.7mm lift at the valve, and 327degrees duration (thats at the seat).

Cheers
