Got it. The A15 with 5-speed has more advantage than the old combo with hydraulic clutch.

Our A-series transmissions here are all hydraulic clutch, very smooth they are.

Well the 312 sedan had the J15 with hydraulic 3 speed column shift.
It now has the A15 with 56A, therefore cable clutch required.
Just need to know the lengths to make a pedal to suit.

Cheers
Dave.

Why would you do that? Hydraulic is soooo much better.

use a ta22 celica master cylinder mounted under the dash, just need to weld up the hook on the stock pedal so that its a hole...so probably weld and redrill in the same spot. then make up a braket to hold the master where it sits

stock pedal travel using the celica master with the pin in the stock hook position is perfect. look in my photo album for pics of my setup

Hey all,

I'm converting from hydraulic to cable clutch and need to manufacture a clutch pedal.
Had a look in the wiki, cant seem to find the info.(Most people seem to be doing the opposite)

Does anyone know, or can someone measure the length of:
1. The centre of the pivot(fulcrum) to the centre of the hook for the cable,
2. The pivot to the bottom of the pedal pad,
3. The total travel of the pedal at the pad end, and
4. The distance of the pin in the cable(that sits in the hook on the pedal) from the firewall at rest.

Cheers
Dave.
