why not go a set of performance minilites.... they cost the same and are one of the very few rims on the market these days that are the correct offset. not to mention they look exactly the same

what about if i use my 8mm wheel spacers?
they should fit on my new struts no probs though, as ive heard the s13 brakes add about 20mm track.
would there be any problem with fitment on the rear?
im not worried about the guards, just fowling on the strut.

they will found on standard struts, the best you can go is pos 24 on a 6.5inch wide rim, if you play on this site http://www.1010tires.com/ and use these measurement it will help
