What's the strut got to do with it?

The hole in the Idler Arm (at right of photo) corresponds to a ball stud on the cross rod (center link).

anyone tried elongating the 75mm holes in the 1200 idler arm to make the 80mm with 10 mm bolts of the 180b fit. its only about 5 mm so was thinking of using one origional hole at the front and elongating the other as there is not much meat on the front side. that way it is locked in still. maybe even weld the front hole and redrill it at 80mm from the front. ??????????

cheers
