John have you actually had those fitted? They look like 1200 blocks to me, the size of the locators is different.
Like bert, I had to mod 1200 blocks to fit.
This is what I had measured up for a 1000...ended up turning a larger sleeve to fit the locator on top and boring out underneath some 1200 blocks:

D,if your a bit handy and you have a mig, there easy to make out of rectangular tube. You just have to make sure you weld in crush tubes inside where the centre bolt would sit and box both ends of the tube to stop any crushing, weld in a centre bolt and your away.
Mild steel tube comes in a host of sizes.Your U bolts will be the only issue if you make them too high.I have made several sets over the years without issue, and have also purchased the ones on ebay, which always need to be modified anyway, but you get nice long U bolts,i actually have an un opened set sitting on the shelf waiting for the next car i said i would never do again.

fits ok John? Im interested pls pm me price and postage to 3044

Ive already lowered it around 4 inches from stock using the stock springs heated
and quenched but would like it just a tad lower while still retaining the bit of
curve left for its current good handling. what are the blocks 1.5 or 2 inches?

Lowering blocks give a very average ride, at least they did in my 1000. I'm the kind of person to sacrifice ride for looks, so get it looking nice if you want by lowering it, but maybe just go for 1" drop instead.

Very tired and stoopidly home brewed up forgot the link
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DATSUN-1000-15 ... ories&hash=item3cb15e312c

I already had the lot lowered properly but just wanted that little
bit extra lower rear height for even better handling without ruining
the slight arch that gives them that nice feel.

I dont carry heavy things there so just figured might as well as
lower at the back than the front works well with these front biased
heavy cars. I got the idea from gravel rallye escorts from England
back in the late 80s and when applied and done properly to all
front biased cars it seems to work a treat.

D take that thick bottom leaf (on wagons) and slap it on the top of the spring pack it still give a half decent ride
