Only the earliest engines [1967 model?] had the single row timing chain & the newer twin row timing set was a service replacement when installed as a complete kit of parts. [chain & two sprockets] I don't remember what the deal was with the tensioner but I suspect that the later item was required also.
It may also have needed the newer [1968] timing case too but I'm too tired to get out my parts book to check.

D - Hahahaha good call mate
Laidlaym - Sorry mate, not keen to sell bits, need it for my 1K wagon
e_f - the CA wagon was pretty rough, but worth fixing. Had floor and door rust, plus the cutout tunnel and part firewall, plus has had strengthening beams/tubes tacked under floor from front to back. I have pics if you want me to email.

Haha yes well I was keen but didn't realise there was other interest until there was 2 seconds to go. Look after her, if you don't find it a home then I will give you what you think it's worth, wasn't sure on a price myself.
What did you think of his ca18 1000 wagon? I wanted to go and have a look.
Cheers

Sorry e_f.... didn't know I was bidding against a fellow D12er... Still, you can't have been that keen on it if I got if for just $84??

After some more tweakage of the carb accelerator pump jet circuit she now starts without the secret weapon (SYB)

Which bloke are you talking about clyons8? the seller? He's got a nice tan 120Y 4dr. He had a V8 in it (until the law caught up with him). Its now FJ powered and legal.

I have sent the seller my youtube link via ebay - so he can marvel at how quickly I 'rebuilt' it haha...

This is the motor that elemental_funk missed out on, apparently the bloke reckoned you can only rebuild them a few times 'due to the crank wearing out'.

This thing was shat in by a moose, proved a worthy dwelling for a mouse and was left out in the weather for 10 years............ and it still fired up
