yeah its just two arms that are bent and shaped to hold the filter assembly itself
theres no real need to have it though.

thanks mate, so does the bracket hold the actual filter to the tower or just the hose to the tower? Have you got a pic of the correct setup?

Yes, there should be a bracket in the engine bay on Drivers side strut tower just where the solid line meets the rubber.
