YEs thats it but cant find the bore and stroke for the smaller ones eg. 1.8 and 2 litres. The 2.2 has the 89mm bores which is nice but 88mm crank is a big stoke that could do with the 1.8 stroke which I think is 76mm??

This engine was sourced from Opel Germany in the mid to late 80s so it was only available since then, GM only used the all cast iron Duke until this replaced it.
The Circle track guys decided to fit v8 alloy heads to the iron duke as a cheap option.
Ive been reading about it in forums & its hard not to adore its German style pushrod simplicity. Its been popular w/ circle track guys in the US since its intro..
The S-10 T5 box late 80s-90s is short compact, 35kg and has cheapest close ratio gearsets worldwide if needed yet stock "U" ratios are good with 1st at 2.75 to 1.
The last pic is FWD version but the RWD version has the water in/out at front.

Dave you hit the nail on the head, as I slowly source parts for me AE hybrid it has occurred to me it will likely be easier to just use something else that looks the part.

Yes, why use a custom hybrid engine, when a production chevrolet 4-cyl which works better can be bought from the wreckers?

they are supposed to be heavily used in budget midget racing to replace the heavy boat anchor iron duke with v8 head hybrids.
